Each aphorism is a gem inspired by Lawrence A. Weil’s grandfather’s appreciation for his first bundle of joy, his mother. He named her Pearl.

Encouragement to publish a book of aphorisms came from Lawrence’s pastor who was served up a new on Sundays while the two prepared for worship. Many Sundays passed before Lawrence was satisfied that he had produced enough rhetorical thought that would capture the reader’s imagination.
