Coping with Paget's Disease: My Own Personal Story

Paget's disease is a rare and painful bone disease for which there is no cure. It is the second most common bone disease exceeded only by osteoporosis. Most patients with Paget's disease are elderly and the age at diagnosis is usually greater than 50 years. Paget's disease affects both men and women, with a slight male predominance. This disease poses many challenges from a life of independence to one of dependency. I find this acceptance is the greatest challenge so I don't dwell on it. My faith sustains me as I put myself in God's hands.
