Doctrine vs. Truth

This title came about over years of sitting in various types of services and speaking to myself, saying “That’s not what God was saying” or “That’s not what that meant.” We find in 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Then we find in Acts 17:11, “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Point being, we shouldn’t just accept any and everything we’ve been taught but go back and see if those things line up. We should always listen with an open mind but then go and verify its validity, hence there are many doctrines that don’t line up with scriptural truth. Therefore, God gave me license to print some of the major contradictions. Sometimes we go with what we were taught instead of verifying its truths.
