Summer in Jane's Garden tells about a scarecrow named Lisi Anthus that comes to live in Jane's Garden. The plants that grow there and creatures she sees.    Jane is not always happy with the creatures who come to eat, but she does share with her neighbors. A surprise ending  shows the neighborliness of gardening.
