Learning to ride a trike brings newfound freedom and confidence. And, noticing how the sidewalk seems to unfold in front of her, promising ever more beautiful scenes just ahead, Winnie sets out to find the magical place where she knows a treasure is waiting for her if she can just pedal far enough.

She does find something, something very special; but, was this the treasure? Was this lovely thing truly meant for her? Or, had the sidewalk led her to the discovery of something of much higher value?

A former Social Studies and English teacher, the author is currently a licensed counselor at an addictions treatment center. She enjoys a peaceful life in rural Minnesota where she lives near her two adult children and pursues her hobby of recording her early recollections of childhood adventures. This is her first children's book.
