Has God ever asked you to do something that seemed

completely insane to your human reasoning; something

that the world would warrant you being put away, for a very long

time? Have you've been in a situation where your faith was tested and

stretched beyond what you could ever imagine? Well it happened

to Cheryl  Thomas more than once. For many years she worked a very

demanding and physical job as a housekeeper, in North Carolina.

She also rented out a room, in her home, to help supplement her

monthly income. Then on April 10th, 2015, after months of prayer,

God had her resign from her job. With no other job in place and

no savings, she applied for unemployment compensation but was

denied. A month later the renter moved out. She thought, "What

was God up to? Why was He closing down all streams of income?

How would I survive?"

For eighteen months as the bills came in Cheryl would open her

bible and faithfully placed each bill on Philippians 4:19, "And my

God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in

Christ Jesus." And every month, while unemployed, God faithfully

paid very, single bill!

Then in January 2016, Cheryl's faith was tested even further, she now

had to move out of her house. God also laid on her heart that she

was to sell, donate or give everything away; a house full of furniture,

gone! Not knowing the how's, the why's, the when's or the where's

she obeyed and through her obedience God's glory was revealed to

a watching world.

While You Are Resting, I Am Working is a chapter out of her life

where God placed her on a Sabbatical, during that time, and the

supernatural way He provided. for her. As you read her story you

will see God's continued faithfulness and how He revealed Himself,

as Jehovah Jireh, her Provider, through it all.
