This collection of poems is inspired by my great-grandson, Maddox. The poems reflect different milestones in his young life, such as his first and second birthday, trips to the park and the zoo, and time spent with his parents. One poem, “A Legacy from Pop,” was inspired by his great-grandfather, whom he never met but was a great source of strength and inspiration to our entire family. I have also written about conversations I want to have with him about life, nature, the history of our family, and what life is all about.
