God First

In a world that is ever changing, one thing has not changed, and that's been that the Lord is still on the throne. My concerns have been great throughout the years for the church, because the power given to us by Jesus is still available-all power, he said, in heaven and the earth.

Our inability to use it falls on us, because our prayer life should increase our Christian walk. We should, above all, care about the lost. The worst feeling in the world is to be lost; that's why I pray to the Lord that I am not lost. It's the very reason of salvation. We all need direction, and only the Holy Spirit can give that. Salvation is for all for all who have sinned and fallen short.

The scripture that touches my heart is John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Our work is to make this message known to man-not our message but the Lord's message that all should come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The love that God gave was his only son, so in return, we should show that love to others. Remember, Jesus said, "The poor, you always have with you." Life is tough and hard and at times even disappointing, but I remember the words of our Lord Jesus who said, "Be of good cheer. I have overcome the world."

The love that God expresses is for the lost, all of the lost. That's why John says God loved the world. Love beats hate hands, down, Jesus Christ showed that in his everyday walk, he showed God and did not just talk about God. The love he had for the world then and now is his Son, his only Begotten Son.

People must come to the saving grace of our Lord, and he must be first in our lives-in fact, that's what I been saying all along: God first.
