Janna was always bullied by her brother, and it didn't seem to bother her parents. So what did Janna do? She decided she would not be the one being bullied, but follow the example of her brother. After she bullied someone, she would follow it up with, "I'm just kidding." The first time she targeted a new girl at school, Sally. She teased her about her clothes and gave her a nickname because of her freckles. She would always finish by saying, "I'm just kidding." As most bullies, Janna had those around her who would laugh and support her. She felt the power she thought her brother had over her for all those years. She loved how it made her feel. She decided Sally would not be her only target. Fred had always been so agreeable and nice, why not? She learned very quickly that she had picked the wrong person. All the children were now laughing at her. Sally showed everyone what each of us should do. Her Nana had taught her to treat others the way we want to be treated, even Janna. Bullying because we have been bullied is never right. What would you do?
